CSense 4.2 is packed with powerful new features and enhancements. The section below describes specific new features and enhancements in CSense 4.2. This is not a complete product description but only a summary of new features and enhancements. For more information on the product, please consult the specific product pages.


New features and enhancements


General

  • Added custom field filters to several data sources and made several improvements to the layout and usability of field filters on selected data sources.
  • The Text source will now interpret and handle quotes in headings properly.
  • Addressed a security vulnerability on Password protected superblocks during runnability checks.
  • Improved Script block division by zero error handling.
  • Addressed the Output file rollover defect in the text source.
  • When uninstalling CSense 4.2, an appropriate message will now be displayed for the license removal code.

Continuous Wizard

  • Updated the exported blueprint. Exported blueprints will now contain any configured Fuzzy models.
  • The field selection dialog on the Benefit estimation now automatically selects all fields marked as adjustables if available.
  • Default Histogram limits are now calculated and set to MIN, MEAN - (1 x Standard Deviation), MEAN + (1 x Standard Deviation) and MAX respectively for each field.
  • New OPC HDA data source available from the Problem Definition View
  • New custom .NET Source available from the Problem Definition view
  • Added the ability to stack multiple trends on the trend view.
  • Users now have the option to show and hide the gridlines on the trend view.
  • Outer bins on Histograms now show an alternate color (red) if they contain data from beyond the histogram display range
  • Added the option to configure the ranges and limits for red and blue marked correlations on the correlation view.
  • Users can now configure brushing options and limit options for the statistics view.
  • Added a new Auto lag feature to the Preparation view to allow users to calculate delay values for multiple fields.
  • The lag estimation dialog configuration is now persisted when closing the dialog.
  • Added new statistical process control views and options to the Batch and Discrete Wizard. The newly added SPC views form part of the CSense SPC+ product offering.
  • The Cause+ scenario configuration now allows for specifying a second data window to be used as the cause calculation period.
  • Added an Export button to the Statistics view.
  • Added an Export button to the Field Correlation dialog.
  • Several other minor enhancements and changes to dialog titles, window titles and menu items may be included in this release.

Discrete Wizard

  • Renamed the Discrete Wizard to Discrete and Batch Wizard.
  • Pivot tables are now accessible from the main toolbar.
  • Added field limits to the Discrete and Batch Wizard.
  • New OPC HDA data source available from the Problem Definition View.
  • New custom .NET Source available from the Problem Definition view.

  • Histograms now display configurable user limits.

  • Changed the label displayed on the ruler for batch trends to display the position of the ruler in the current sample space. The label previously incorrectly displayed the index.
  • Added a new column to display the original data set index at the current ruler location on the batch trend view.
  • Users can now show or hide the gridlines on the batch trends.
  • Users now have the option to switch the trend line styles on the batch trends from dashed to solid.
  • Added the ability to show and hide point markers on batch trends.
  • Users can now determine the sort order for all fields contained in the configured batch hierarchy and displayed on the Batch Visualization view.
  • PCA and PLS data compare functions can now make use of brushed, non-brushed or all project data.
  • Improved the layout and usability of the Batch Comparison view for PCA models.
  • Added a cutoff threshold to the Distance to Model display on the Batch Comparison view. All batch falling below the threshold will now be displayed using an alternate color.
  • Added several statistics for the Distance to Model display on the Batch Comparison view for PCA models.
  • Added a distance to model distribution display option to the Batch Comparison view for PCA models.
  • Added new statistical process control views and options to the Batch and Discrete Wizard. The newly added SPC views form part of the CSense SPC+ product offering.
  • Update the exported blueprint to include any configured PCA and/or PLS models from the Wizard project.
  • Updated all exported file formats to use display names and field names where relevant.
  • Batch Visualization is now done on cleaned data, after limits have been applied.
  • Added an Export button to the Batch Statistics dialog.
  • Added an Export button to the Batch Visualization dialog.
  • Added an Export button to the Statistics view.
  • Added an Export button to the Field Correlation dialog.
  • Several other minor enhancements and changes to dialog titles, window titles and menu items may be included in this release.

Architect

  • Added new PLS block to the block palette.
  • Added new Cause+ block to the block palette.
  • Added new custom .NET Sink block to the block palette.
  • Added new discrete and continuous custom .NET source blocks to the block palette.
  • Added new .NET Wrapper block to the block palette.
  • Added a SUM to the field statistics block.
  • Tooltips displaying block information on superblocks now handle CR/LF correctly.
